Unemployment Rate Evolution in Morocco from 1990 to 2022

Morocco’s unemployment rate has seen ups and downs since 1990, influenced by economic reforms and structural challenges. The rate peaked at 22.9% in 1995 due to high population growth and limited job creation. Economic diversification efforts helped reduce unemployment to below 10% by 2006. From 2011, the rate remained stable around 9%, but pandemic disruptions in 2021 pushed it back up to 12.3%.
