Portugal's export journey has been shaped by shifts in its industrial landscape and international trade dynamics. The 2008 financial crisis caused a decline to $44.21 billion in 2009, but recovery was swift. By 2023, exports reached $83.86 billion, driven by the strength of the textiles, automotive, and renewable energy sectors.
