A surge began around 2007, with the sector reaching 61.3% before spiking to 66.5% in 2009 due to the financial crisis, as services remained resilient compared to manufacturing. The growth continued, peaking at 68.5% in 2014, driven by expanding tourism, finance, and healthcare services. In 2020, services slightly rose to 68.3%, despite COVID-19 impacts.
