Shared rides are a bonus to ride-hailing services, many people choose to split the cost and it’s cheaper for them in some cases.

What is the Top-of-Mind Ride-Hailing Brand in Europe?

Uber stands out as the most recognized ride-hailing brand across Europe, thanks to its well-established reputation and wide availability. Its brand recognition is particularly strong in countries like Austria, where it is three times more recognized than Bolt. In markets like Serbia and Portugal, Uber’s brand awareness exceeds 90%.

Meanwhile, Bolt holds the second position overall, with its highest recognition in Romania and Ukraine. BlaBlaCar also enjoys notable visibility, with its carpooling model resonating especially well with users in France and Belgium. Other competitors like Lyft and CarGo maintain only a limited presence and significantly lower recognition levels compared to the leading brands.
