Romania’s agriculture sector contribution to GDP has seen significant fluctuations, starting at 21.8% in 1990 and declining to around 4.5% by 2022. The steep reduction during the early 2000s reflects Romania’s economic transition post-communism and gradual integration with the European Union, leading to an industry-focused economy.
