Export of Goods Value from Serbia (1990-2023)

The export of goods from Serbia has seen a remarkable transformation since 2006, growing from $6.4 billion to $30.9 billion in 2023. This significant growth highlights the country’s evolving industrial base and integration into global trade. The sharp increase between 2010 and 2013, from $9.8 billion to $14.6 billion, can be attributed to advancements in manufacturing, particularly in the automotive and electronics sectors, supported by foreign direct investments (FDI).

The steady growth between 2017 and 2023 reflects Serbia’s ability to diversify its export portfolio and adapt to global economic shifts. The post-pandemic recovery in 2021 saw exports surge by 31%, reaching $25.6 billion, driven by demand for machinery, agricultural products, and metals. Economic reforms and trade agreements with the EU and other countries have further bolstered Serbia’s export capabilities, solidifying its position in regional and global markets.
