Denmark's manufacturing contribution started at 14.9% in 1990, with modest fluctuations throughout the decade. The share gradually decreased from 2000 onwards, dropping to 11.1% in 2009, as Denmark’s economy shifted focus to services and high-value industries like pharmaceuticals and green energy. Between 2012 and 2019, manufacturing saw a recovery, peaking at 13.4% in 2019 due to increased investments in technology-driven manufacturing. However, a slight decline post-pandemic left the share at 11.7% in 2022, indicating a return to service sector dominance.
