Frequency of Food Delivery App Use Among Mexicans

As for how often people are using these services, the frequency of use varies, but there’s a strong pattern of regularity. Around 55% of respondents use food delivery apps at least once a week. While food delivery isn't necessarily an everyday habit for everyone, a significant portion of people are relying on these apps frequently.

Why Consumers Choose Their Most Used Food Delivery Apps

The top reason, hands down, is trust in the brand. Nearly half of respondents say they gravitate toward apps they know and trust. Fast acceptance and processing of orders come in second. In a world where speed is crucial, it makes sense that people would lean toward platforms that process their orders efficiently. Things like the user interface or pricing, while still important, rank lower on the list. In fact, only a small percentage of people care most about how user-friendly an app is or how competitive its pricing is. Overall, while value is important, convenience and reliability tend to trump cost when it comes to food delivery apps.

Uber Eats: The Most Popular Food Delivery App in Mexico

In Mexico, Uber Eats and DiDi Food are the most recognized names in the food delivery market. Uber Eats has built a strong reputation for reliability and convenience, while DiDi Food, backed by the Chinese ride-hailing giant DiDi, is steadily growing its presence. Meanwhile, Rappi has a stronger presence across Latin America, particularly in Colombia. While it has expanded into Mexico, it still faces strong competition from Uber Eats in the country. Traditional fast-food chains like McDonald's and Burger King have a smaller role in the food delivery space, despite their loyal customer base, and don’t lead the pack when it comes to food delivery apps.
